Chris Beebe – Hospital Manager

Chris-beebe

Born and raised in Sugar Grove, Chris joined the Critter Care team in May, 2017. Over the past 20 years, Chris has lead many non-profit organizations in both community and fund development. She raised nearly $2 million for the March of Dimes in Los Angeles, CA, opened a branch office for the Arthritis Foundation in Long Beach, CA and was Executive Director of the American Cancer Society in New Orleans, LA. In June of 2013, Chris took the helm of Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Belle Chasse, LA, a small, rural no-kill shelter on the verge of closing. During her three years at PAWS, Chris rebuilt the organization into an admired and respected animal shelter. During that time, her leadership helped double annual income, launch a low-cost vet clinic, take over operations of the municipal animal control facility, and led Plaquemines Parish in becoming the first parish in the state of Louisiana to go from 100% kill to no-kill status.

In her free time, Chris loves spending time with her family and rescue dogs – Jack and Elliott, and cats – George and Gus. She is an artist, a gardener, and loves just about anything creative.
